This adaptable clump forming perennial has willow shaped foliage and pale blue star-like flowers in late spring. The leaves turn a beautiful yellow color in fall. Amsonia is a nectar source for native bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and hummingbird moths. Deer and rabbit avoid Bluestar’s unpalatable foliage.
