Description
BEAUTY BERRY
American Beauty Berry grows in average to moist soils in full sun. Light shade is fine but most abundant fruiting occurs in full sun and when multiple callicarpas are grown together. The flowers are subtle but they give way to dense clusters of showy purple berries. Songbirds feed on the berries. Compounds in the leaves are said to repel mosquitos.
