Description
Fothergilla grows in full sun to part shade in moist well drained soils. The compact shrub spreads by suckers to form colonies. Fragrant white bottlebrush flowers bloom in spring before the lovely blue green scalloped foliage emerges. Early season native pollinators enjoy the floral nectar reward. Foliage turns striking warm shades of color in fall.
