Description
SPICEBUSH
This Native shrub has great wildlife value. It hosts several species of butterflies and moths including the adorable Spicebush Swallowtail pictured. The early Spring flowers are followed by attractive red fruit on female plants. Birds love the fruit. The aromatic leaves and twigs can be used to make a tea and the fruit can be used to make a spice.
