This carefree Native shrub has a variety of uses and good Wildlife Value. It is an important nectar source and a host plant for the California and Southern Dogfaces, Silver-Spotted Skipper, Gray Hairstreak and Hoary Edge Skipper among others. This shrub fixes atmospheric nitrogen and can be used to create a dye.
