Description
PAWPAW ‘Wabash’
This small Native tree is prized for its edible fruit. Relished by many animals, with a banana-custard like flavor, they are a good source of Vitamins A and C. The Pawpaw is a larval host for the Zebra Swallowtail and Pawpaw Sphinx. It has a unique tropical appearance and makes a good specimen as well as an understory tree. ‘Wabash’ bears excellent quality and quantity of large fruit with sweet, crreamy, rich texture. Fruit ripens in mid season.
