White Wood Aster’s heart shaped leaves appear early in spring promising a show of starry white flowers in fall. This native aster is an adaptable beauty who spreads by seeds and will even grow in dry shade. Native pollinators depend on asters for pollen and nectar. Butterflies and moths count them as friendly host plants as well.
