Description
BIG LEAVED ASTER
This native wildflower begins in spring with large heart shaped leaves growing densely like a ground cover, spreading by rhizomes and seed. Stems begin to arise that will bear clusters of yellow to rose centered showy light violet ray flowers in late summer into fall. A dependable source of pollen and nectar, Big Leaved Aster is also a larval host to butterflies and moths.
