Description
APPALACHIAN SEDGE
This native sedge grows in a variety of conditions. Especially known for the ability to grow in difficult dry shade, the one place Carex appalachica won’t be happy is in wet soil. Finely textured narrow foliage arches tidily in dense mounds spreading slowly over time to form beautiful masses. Sedges are good larval hosts and provide cover for wildlife.
