ROSY SEDGE

Carex rosea is a versatile low growing semi evergreen sedge with narrow grass like foliage. Star shaped flower spikes in spring have a rosy colored tint. Growing in dry to moist situations, this native sedge is comfortable in shade to sun. Sedges are larval hosts to 36 species of butterflies and moths in our area.
