Description
In spring Catalpa Trees are resplendent with spectacular white flowers billowing above their generous heart shaped leaves. A source of nectar and pollen as well as a larval host, Catalpa also produces compounds of great medicinal and protective value to nesting bees. Cavities in older trees are used as dens by small mammals and sometimes occupied by owls.
