Description

Collinsonia prefers part shade and average to moist rich soils. At first glance the foliage may resemble the leaves of many anonymous woodland inhabitants but Stoneroot’s fragrant flowers set it apart from the rest. At a time when there’s a lull in forest blooms these pale yellow flowers are a lovely resource for bees and butterflies. Several species of insects are hosted by this understated medicinal beauty.
