SILKY DOGWOOD

This medium sized Native shrub has a wide soil and sun tolerance, thriving especially in moist to wet conditions. Cream colored flowers in spring give way to white berries that gradually turn blue. Dogwoods have very high wildlife value. Pollinators depend on them for their abundant nectar and pollen. They are larval hosts to 124 species of Lepidoptera in our area. Birds love the berries.
