SHOOTING STAR

Shooting Star is showy woodland wildflower. Come upon her unexpectedly on your way through the woods, and the experience will be breath taking. Dodecatheon is diminutive in size but the bursting flowers with their reflexed petals are stars of any spring shade garden. Native spring pollinators appreciate the pollen. Dodecatheon is ephemeral so foliage disappears by summer, dormant until next spring.Beautiful seed pods stand tall in fall.
