Description
WILD STRAWBERRY
This native spreading groundcover has white flowers in spring and bears delicious small stawberries in summer. The spread is by runners, so Fragaria can definitely sprawl. All those roots provide good erosion control. The foliage supports the larva of 77 species of butterflies and moths in our area, some of them generalists and some rely only on wild strawberry.
