Description
PURPLE FLAME IRIS
This selection of native Iris versicolor emerges in spring with striking eggplant purple colored foliage. Consistently moist soil will produce the most purple. The leaves transition to green as the season progresses. The coloration of stems and flowers is exceptional as well. The leaf swords provide structure long after blooms fade. A beautiful solution for heavy wet soil areas, Iris versicolor will happily naturalize.
