Description

Switch Grass is happiest in full sun but will take a bit of shade. Adaptable to many conditions including dry soil, this native grass prefers moist or clay soil. In late summer Panicum virgatum puts on an airy show of pink tinged flowers that turn beige in fall as seeds mature. Seedheads persist into winter providing food to birds.
