COMMON HOP TREE
This small native tree flowers in early summer and forms beautiful papery wafer like winged seed pods that persist through winter. Understated in the landscape, Ptelea adapts to sun or shade and grows in average to dry soils. Hop Tree is appreciated by pollinators and is an important larval host plant for the Giant Swallowtail Butterfly.
