Description
BLACKJACK OAK
A small to medium sized native tree, Blackjack Oak grows in dry to average soils in full sun and can grow in tough dry locations. It’s best to avoid wet, poorly drained areas. The dark green leathery leaves are black jack shaped. Small sized acorns feed mammals and birds. Like all oaks, Blackjack Oak is a stellar larval host to moths and butterflies, and provides cover, nesting sites, and food for birds.
