This deciduous native Azalea grows best in average to moist well drained locations in sun dappled or high open shade. The tubular soft pink slightly fragrant flowers bloom in late spring before foliage appears. Butterflies, pollinators, and hummingbirds value the nectar. Pinxterbloom can support the larva of 53 species of butterflies and moths.
