Description
This deciduous rounded shrub prefers rich, acidic, moisture retentive but well drained soils in part shade. The pink flowers bloom in late spring before or just as foliage appears. Roseshell Azalea has a pleasant clove like fragrance. Bright green foliage turns to a bronze color in fall. Butterflies, pollinators, and hummingbirds are attracted to the nectar.
