Description

This suckering native shrub tolerates a wide range of soils and is great for stabilizing slopes or hard to cover areas. Catkins persist through winter and bloom in early spring before leaves emerge. Foliage is fragrant with great fall color. Small clusters of red berries are eaten by birds. Fragrant Sumac is a larval host to 55 species of butterflies and moths.
