Mare gardened professionally for years on the staff of The Compleat Gardener and has been a naturalist docent at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. She loves helping customers find the right plant for the right place and sharing knowledge of plants, pollinators, and ecological relationships. Seed collecting and propagating make her heart sing.
Winter finds Mare in her studio painting abstract impressions of natural processes and patterns and making nests and root weavings from wire and fiber. She has exhibited widely and currently shows her work with Morpeth Contemporary in Hopewell, NJ.
